French pole vaulter current world record holder Renauld Lavillenie born on 18 September 1986.Renauld Lavillenie is going to #rioolympics 2016 to  repeat his gold medal performance in Polt Vault. Renauld Lavillenie created history in #polevault.  #RenauldLavillenie cleared height of 6.16m 20ft 2.5 inches on 15 February 2014. Renauld Lavillenie won gold medal at London Olympics 2012 by clearing a height of 5.96 meter. Renauld Lavillenie has won two World Indoor Championship,three European Championship gold medals and three European Indoor Championship gold medals.Renauld Lavillenie was awarded IAAF World Athlete of the Year 2014.
Renauld Lavillenie broke previous record of great pole vaulter Sergey Bubka of Ukraine.Bubka previous record was 6.15 meter.It is one of the oldest records in  Olympic  Games history.
