ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 2019–22 Series Schedule Format
The International Cricket Council (ICC) today reported the initial eight arrangement of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 to start in August 2019 on the Road to India 2023. The Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 gives progressively focused cricket to Namibia, Nepal, Oman, PNG, Scotland, UAE and USA, with each group playing 36 One Day Internationals (ODIs) more than two and half years from August 2019 to January 2022, where groups are only two stages from the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The League will see 126 ODIs played crosswise over 21 tri-arrangement, with the main arrangement commencing in Scotland on 14 August 2019.
Scotland will have Oman and PNG in the main arrangement occurring in Aberdeen on the Road to India 2023. Every arrangement will see groups play a sum of six ODIs, with groups vieing for the main three spots of the League 2 table which will affirm their place in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022.
