PCB has announced PSL 8 Schedule .HBL PSL 8 will start from February 13  and will end on March  19 March 2023 at Qadafi Stadium  .First match of PSL 8 will be played Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

The eighth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin on February 13th, with the opening match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars taking place at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Lahore Qalandars will be looking to make history by becoming the first franchise to win back-to-back titles. The tournament will be held in two legs, with matches taking place at the Multan Cricket Stadium and National Bank Cricket Arena from February 13th to 26th, before shifting to the Gaddafi Stadium and Pindi Cricket Stadium from February 26th to March 19th. This includes the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the final, which will take place at the home of Pakistani cricket from March 15th to 19th.

Four cities, Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi, will host the 34-match tournament, and the schedule has been designed so that each of the four home sides will play five matches in front of their own fans, one against each side. Quetta Gladiators will play 10 league matches in Karachi, Rawalpindi (four each), Lahore and Multan (one each) while Peshawar Zalmi’s fixtures will be in Rawalpindi (five), Karachi (three), and one each in Lahore and Multan.

In addition to the men’s matches, three exhibition matches of Pakistan Women’s League will be played in Rawalpindi on 8, 10 and 11 March. The two women’s sides are expected to comprise leading local and foreign players, details of which will be announced in due course.

Chair of PCB Management Committee, Mr Najam Sethi, said, “I am delighted to formally confirm the schedule of the HBL PSL 8, which will allow the Pakistan Cricket Board and the six franchises to start firming up and finalizing their respective event plans and objectives. The HBL PSL 8 will be a massive event for the PCB, taking place at the four iconic venues with the world’s best T20 cricketers in action. We aim to make the HBL PSL bigger, better and stronger than ever before with the overarching ambition to make it the first-choice event for leading T20 cricketers.”

Key Notes of HBL PSL 8 Schedule

The tournament will begin with an opening ceremony in Multan on February 13th, followed by the opener between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

·  The closing ceremony and final will take place on March 19th in Lahore, where the play-offs will also be held.

·  Lahore Qalandars will aim to become the first team to win consecutive titles, while Islamabad United will aim to become the most successful team by winning the trophy for the third time.

·  Each team will play five home matches, one against each side. Rawalpindi will host 11 fixtures, Karachi and Lahore will host nine matches each, and Multan will have five home games.

·  The only double-header will be held on March 7th in Rawalpindi, featuring Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans.
