ICC Men’s Player of Month January 2021- Rishabh Pant
ICC started ICC Men’s Player of the month awards from January 2021. Rishabh Pant received first awards beating Joe Root and Paul Stirling of Ireland. Rishabh Pant scored 97 runs at Sydney vs Australia and 89* at Brisbane which lead India to Victory vs Australia in test match and test series.
Joe Root scored 228 and 186 runs vs Sri Lanka and lead his team 2-0 Test series victory.
Paul Stirling played 2 ODI vs UAE and three ODI vs Afghanistan
and scored three centuries.
Shabnim Ismail won ICC Women’s Player of the Month award.
Shabnam Ismail took 7 wickets in three ODI and lead South African Women team 3-0 victory. Other two nominee in this category were Diana Baig and Marizanne Kapp.
Marizanne Kapp scored 115 runs in two ODI with SR of 110.57 and three wickets in the ODI series.
Diana Baig took 9 wickets in three ODI vs West Indies.
