Theertha was a standout performer in 2022, ranking as the third-highest run-scorer in all women’s T20Is. Vaishnave also had a strong year, taking 29 wickets and ranking joint-third in all women’s T20Is.

Fraser, who was identified as a rising star by former Scotland head coach Mark Coles, and Lister, along with Olivia Bell, are the capped internationals in the squad. Fraser was the joint-highest wicket-taker for Scotland in the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier last September, where Scotland finished in sixth place. Lister, who was third in the list of run-scorers for Scotland in the same tournament, will be an important player for the team. The team lost to the USA in an unofficial warm-up match ahead of the Under-19 World Cup but was able to bounce back and beat the USA in their first official warm-up game.
