The six-match Ireland Tri series will see sides play each other twice, with all games to be held at Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin. No Tickets for Ireland Cricket Lovers and for local fans, there will be free entry to all games, with a café available within the precinct to provide refreshments, and Malahide Cricket Club bar will be open to the public.
Ireland will play their first game since the historic Lord’s Test in July, while Scotland are coming into the series on a high after three successive wins in the World Cricket League. Netherlands, however, played their last game in June against Zimbabwe where they handed the visitors a series defeat.
Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, said:
“Its a well known fact that one of the primary methods of reasoning for the foundation of the Euro T20 Slam was to make us a more grounded country in the T20 group that we’ll be playing such an extensive amount in years to come. Subsequently, the deferment of the Slam and the open door for our players to blend with the world’s best not just put that on hold for one more year, it denied us of the opportunity to get ready appropriately for the T20 World Cup Qualifier in October and set ourselves back on the world stage in Australia one year from now.”
“Along these lines, it’s a given that we are enchanted to have this T20 International arrangement – with the goal that every one of the taking an interest countries making a beeline for the qualifier can get some focused T20s added to the repertoire.”
