LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a prize money of Rs 9 million for the National T20 Cup.
The best limited-form cricketers from across the country will appear in the National T20 Cup starting September 30 in Multan. In this preliminary tournament of domestic cricket season 21-2020, a total prize money of about Rs. 90 lakhs will be distributed.
The winning team of the event will be given a prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs while the second finalist team will be entitled to Rs. 25 lakhs. Will go
During the first tournament of the season, the best player of each match will be given Rs 25,000 while the man of the final of this double league based event will get Rs 35,000 as a prize. The final of the event will be played on October 18 at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The prize money of Rs. 90 lakh distributed in the tournament is in addition to the monthly stipend and match fee received by the players with domestic contracts. On the other hand, a cricketer who gets a domestic contract for the season 21-2020 will earn Rs 18-32 lakh per annum (depending on the category) in terms of monthly stipend and match fee.
The announcement of attractive prize money for the best performing players is in line with the Pakistan Cricket Board’s policy aimed at further improving the quality of domestic cricket.
Director High Performance Nadeem Khan says that the Pakistan Cricket Board has made it its goal to spend the money earned from cricket on the welfare of cricketers and that is why in the National T20 Cup as a whole almost The prize money of Rs. 90 lakh will be distributed among the players in different ways.
