Total 16 teams are are participating in Rio Olympics  football  men’s event.These 16 teams are selected from 6 zones . These 6 zones  are as under:
zone1 Africa:

Nigeria,Algeria
zone2  Asia:

Japan,Korea,Iraq
Zone3 Europe:

Sweden,Denmark,Germany,Portugal
Zone4 South America:

Argentina,Colombia
Zone5 Oceania:

Papua New  Guinea,Fiji
Zone6 North,Centreal America and Caribbean:

Mexico,Hondorus

Four teams are from Europe,Three from Asia,Two from Africa,South America,Oceania and two teams from North,Central America and Caribbean
Brazil qualify as host nation to make total strength 16 teams
Olympics 2016 Football Groups  2016 Rio Olympics Games:
In Rio Olympic Games 2016  participating 16 football teams are divided into four groups.

The details of each groups is as under:
Group A:

Brazil,South Africa,Iraq,Denmark
Group B:

Sweden,Colombia,Nigeria,Japan
Group C:

Fiji,Korea Republic,Mexico,Germany
Group D:

Hondurus,Algeria,Portugal,Argentina
Olympics 2016 Football Matches Rio Olympic Games

Total 32 matches  of soccer will be played in Rio Olympic 2016.In four groups 24 matches will be played at stage 1.Two teams from each group will qualify for Quarter final.At Quarter Final 4 matches will be played  and winner of these four matches will play semi final of Soccer 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Two semi final will pe played and winnerof two  semi final will play  Final on August 20 in Rio Olympic Games 2016.
Loser of two Semi final will play for Bronz medal.
