Steve Smith  set a new world Record  playing in 1st Ashes Test Vs England at Edgbaston  scored 25th test hundred in 119th innings. Smith reached this milestone   in  shortest number of innings after Don Bradman who took 68 innings to score 25 test hundred. Smith surpass Viarat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar . Virat Kohli took  127 innings to score 25 test hundred , Great Sachin Tendulkar took 130 innings and Mathew Hayden took 139 innings to score 25 test hundred.Smith break Kohli record with a margin of 8 innings.

Smith scored hundred in each innings of Edgbaston Test.In First innings he scored 144 in first innings and 142 in second innings. Smith  created history by scoring hundred in both innings of Ashes test. He is 8th Player to do that  feat and 5th Australian who scored  hundred in both innings of test Match.

Steve Smith has played  65 test for Australia. He scored 6485 runs  with average of 62.96  and  scored 25 hundred and 24 fifties in 119 innings.
