IPL 2018 Introduction
IPL (Indian Premier League) is T20 event.It started in 2008. Total 8 teams participate in IPL.Every team played 14 matches in tournamet and two matches with all teams.
Two matches played between two teams are played on two venues, one match on home ground of every participant.

IPL first Edition 2008 In 2008 first edition of IPL was held.Total 8 teams RR ,KXIP, CSK, DD, MI, KKR, RCB and DC participated in this event. Rajasthan Royals won first IPL title with 22 points.RR played 14 matches and won 11 and lost three matches in IPL2008.

- Shaun Marsh won Orange Cap by scroing most runs in IPL. Marsh scored 616 runs playing from KXIP.
- New Zealand player Brendon McCullum scored highest runs 158* playing for KKR. Sanath Jayasurya scored
- most sixes in IPL 2008 edition. Jayasurya struck 31 sixes. McCullum has best batting strike rate of 204.34.

- Sohail Tanvir was most successful bowler in IPL 2008 with 22 wicket and got Purple Cap Sohail was playing from RR.

- Shoaib played for KKR . Muhammad Hafeez was most economical bowler in IPL 2008 with economy rate of 4.80.In bowling it was complete dominance in bowling by Pakistani bowlers in IPL first edition.

In 2009 in second edition of IPL Delhi Daredevils won the title with 20 points. DD played 14 matches
won 10 and lost four mathces.

Mathew Hayden won Orange Cap by scoring 572 runs playing for CSK . Adam Gilchrist struck most sixes in IPL 2009. Gilchrist struck 29 sixes. In 2010 MI won the title of IPL with 20 points. MI played 14 matches won 10 and lost 4.
