Cricket Australia has announced 13 member squad for first test against Sri Lanka starting from Jan24 , 2019.
Final team will be announced at the start of test.
Australia’s 13-man Test squad: Marcus Harris, Joe Burns, Matthew Renshaw, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Will Pucovksi, Marnus Labuschagne, Tim Paine (capt), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Peter Siddle.
Australia has included 20 years old Will Pucovski who has played only 8 first class match and scored 243 for victoria. He will make test debut for Australia on January 24,2019.
Matt Renshaw has played 11 test and scored 636 runs in 20 innings with average of 42.48 with one double century and three fifties.
and Joe Burns 14 test and in 25 innings scored 919 runs .Burn has average of 36.76.Burn scored 3 hundred and 4 fifties in 25 innings..Both played their last test in March 2018 vs South Africa.
Marcus Harris has mad debut vs India .In 8 innings he has scored 258 runs with average of 36.85 .
Travis head has played 6 test and made debut in October 2018 vs Pakistan in UAE. He has scored 359 runs in 11 innings with average of 32.63 with 3 fifties.
Marnus Labuschagne has played only 3 test and in 5 innings has scored 119 runs and average of 24.44.
Marnus Labuschagne has highest score 43 in test cricket.
The Australia squad has four pace bowlers ,one spinner ,one one wicket keeper batsman and 7 batsman.

Australia has dropped Marsh brother ,Handscomb and Aaron Finch for their poor performance vs India in test series.
opening batsman Aaron Finch, middle-order batsman Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh have batting averages of 16.16, 26.14, 21 and 9.50.
29-year old Joe Burns is currently the fifth-highest run-scorer in the JLT Sheffield Shield.
In six matches, Joe scored 472 runs at an average of 47.20 and a strike rate of 60.51.
In the Sheffield Shield, Renshaw has scored 199 runs in 5 matches at an average of 19.90 and a strike rate of 44.51
Out of seven batsman one has played only 8 first class matches and 5 have played 38 test(11+14+3++4+6).Only Usman Khawaja has played 39 test and scored 2653 and average 42. Khawja has played one more test than five other batsman.
Australia bowling squad is much experienced than batting squad .Mitchell Starc has played test matches, Josh Hzalewood 44, Pat Cummuns 18 and Peter Siddle 64 and Nathan Lyon has played 84 test matches .Tim Paine has played 19 test matches. Only two batsman have batting average in Australian team 40 plus.
