Phillip Hughes, born on November 30, 1988, in New South Wales, tragically passed away on November 27, 2014, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. His life’s innings lasted 25 years and 362 days, and he sadly left us just three days before his birthday. One can imagine that he celebrated his birthday in heaven, perhaps with the great players of cricket, with Sir Don Bradman as the chief guest.

At the time of the incident, Phillip Hughes was not out on 63.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott paid tribute to him, saying, “A young man living out his dreams.” Flags were lowered to half-mast at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the MCG, and the world mourned the loss of a talented cricketer who left us far too soon.
