Misbah ul Haq – New Pakistan cricket team Head Coach and Cheif Selector: Lahore: Former captain of the national cricket team Misbah-ul-Haq has been appointed head coach of the national cricket team while he has been given the additional responsibility of chief selector.

According to the PCB, the selection panel consisting of 5-member panel comprising Alam, Bazid Khan, Asad Ali Khan, Wasim Khan and Zakir Khan unanimously presented the name of Misbah-ul-Haq, the names of the two coaches approved by the chairman. The PCB is kindly given.
The first assignment, along with Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis’s national cricket team, will be a series against Sri Lanka, 3 one-dayers and 3 Twenty20 matches against the Islanders starting September 27.
Misbah-ul-Haq will also serve as the Chief Selector with the Head Coach. The former captain will create a pool of cricketers for the national teams with the help of the head coach of the six provincial teams.
Misbah-ul-Haq says coaching national cricket is an honor for me, ready to take on this new role. Chief Executive PCB Waseem Khan has expressed hope that national cricket will benefit from Misbah-ul-Haq’s leadership skills, adding that all candidates who have applied for coaches are advised.
It should be noted that Waqar Younis is the head coach of the national team and Misbah-ul-Haq has been captain with them. Now the duo will work together but the two roles will be different. It was made clear in the interview that he would have no problems working with Misbah-ul-Haq as a bowling coach, we can both carry out our responsibilities for the betterment of the team while in our jurisdiction.
