2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier
The 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier is the part of qualification process for the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup.
12 teams from USA regional qualifiers were held by ICC with 62 teams. All teams has been competing during 2018 in five regions – Africa (3 groups), Americas (2), Asia (2), East Asia Pacific (2) and Europe (3). The top 25 sides from these progressed to five Regional Finals in 2019, with seven teams then going on to compete in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier.
The top two teams in each group advanced to the regional finals tournament, which would determine two American entrants to the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier. In April 2018, the ICC granted full international status to T20 mens’ matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Finals will be played as T20 Internationals.
From the Southern sub region group, both Bermuda and the Cayman Islands qualified for the Americas Regional Finals.From the Northern sub region, Canada and United States also qualified for the Americas Regional Finals.

Bermuda cricket board has announces its team squad for ICC AMERICAS – MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP FINAL – (Bermuda) from August 18-25. The Executive of the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) are pleased to announce the Senior Men’s National Cricket Team, for the 2019 ICC Americas – T20 World Cup Final. The team will compete against Canada, USA, and the Cayman Islands, for qualification to the ICC Americas World Cup.

TEAM USA SQUAD ANNOUNCED FOR ICC T20 WORLD CUP AMERICAS’ REGIONAL FINAL
USA Cricket is pleased to announce its squad of 14 players to travel to represent the United States in the ICC T20 World Cup Americas’ Regional Final in Bermuda, where they will attempt to qualify to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in the UAE.
The USA will play Canada, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands in the WT20 Americas’ Region Final from August 15 to 25, 2019.

The games in Bermuda will see the Cayman Islands make their full T20 International debut, being their first games since the ICC granted full status to all internationals between member associations on 1st January this year.
The Caymanians finished second to Bermuda on Net Run Rate in the Americas Southern sub-regional final in Argentina last year, but not without inflicting a 62-run victory over their more experienced counterparts in their first encounter at the tournament, a result which will give them hope that they are not just here in the regional final to make up the numbers.

T20 cricket has been in high profile in Canada recently, with the franchise Global T20 tournament hosted in Brampton, Ontario, grabbing the headlines and including many of the world’s short format roaming stars. All fifteen of Canada’s national squad for this tournament featured on one of the six franchise rosters in the GT20, and the vast majority saw game time.
